My last two NON B 3 month visas I got from Penang..

This time I would like to visit somewhere new.

I remember a few years ago they were cracking down on people who had more than two or three tourist visas from the same place in a row. (I ended up getting a new passport not sure if that helped or not). If this is still the case?! I think I would be better going somewhere new as well as visiting a new place. I want to head over to Yangon this Feb for a visa.

Has anyone recently in the last month or two been to Yangon for a NON B VISA :)

From the following thread, it appears that in late 2016, the Yangon option was low drama.

How the OP is qualifying for the Non-O may vary from those in the thread so maybe direct inquiries first?

From the embassy website.

to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process.

s/NGOs)

- Medical record and doctor recommendation (for patients/medical treatment visa)

Apologies for speed-reading. The OP is after a Non-B (for work?)

The website linked in my earlier post has the details for getting a 'Business visa', both single and multi.

Anyone have recent experience at Thai Embassy Yangon getting a Non-immigrant B visa? I'm American and I need for getting a work permit. Also need a Non-O (I think that's what we need anyway) for my son, also an American citizen.

It should not be a problem to get a single entry non-b visa there if you have the required documents listed here. http://www.thaiembassy.org/yangon/en/services/33446-business-visa---for-Single-entry-(work-permit).html

Your son will need to be with you when he applies for a single entry non-o visa for being a member of your family. His birth certificate will be required.

You both will need visas for Myanmar that can be applied for online.

Hey Joe, thanks for the info. The documents are not a problem. It's going to be difficult to get my son there at the same time. Does anyone know of a local service company that may be able to get the visas without being present? Thanks.

I do not think agents can be used to get visas in Yangon. It might be possible to get a Non O visa for your son from an immigration office in Thailand by means of a process called "conversion". @ubonjoe will confirm whether this is possible for a dependent.

After he has an extension of stay based upon working his son could a apply for a non immigrant visa at immigration.

He cannot apply for the visa while still here in the country other than at immigration after you have your one year extension.
