If Sakdina kicks in no court h will convict him or there will be no sentencing.

The nature of his arrest and the publicity surrounding it, is symptomatic of modern media that makes it more and more difficult for the ruling elite to sweep this under the carpet.

there will be "no evidence" pleas

Lack of due process

and any other technicality, but it won't help the guy's image will it?

of course if they can spin this out for long enough the media will forget it and he'll be in the clear.

What he should do:

accept responsibility, admit wrongdoing, donate a sum to National Parks, start a breeding program for black panthers.

... and then I woke up

Sadly, very very sadly, a black panther breeding program isn't any use - Fatboy has f**ked them already.

The rangers who did not accept the bribery should be rewarded to set a message. Should it be equal to what was offered or a little less or half? Thinking is that if we reward the not so-bribable and decent people more will come out. It might be abused though.

Interesting comment. It seems to me that there are some circumstances (needs definition) where the officers concerned should be rewarded, and this event is perhaps a good example.

On the other hand reward for government officers should not be an open book - in reality they should understand well that their jobs bring responsibility, an essential / primary part of their jobs - it's what they are paid for and there should not be extra rewards.

Needs to be defined.

I tend to favor 'an eye for an eye' punishment for Premchai Karnasuta in this case since we're talking about felines, i.e., a black leopard vs a fatcat business tycoon.

The fightback begins!

I think it is likely that he will be found guilty for the sole reason that it is politically beneficial to the Junta to convict a 'High So' at the moment. And for no other reason at all.

However, once all the hoopla dies down, he will be let off with a slap on the wrist, if it even gets that far. After all, he is a 'High So'.

It'll be "Thai Justice" at its finest...

Yes, a suitable distraction for others who stand with foot raised on the people's heads.

Why the rangers should be rewarded? You get paid for doing your job ! IF you dont then you get fired, simple.

So in Thailand many people could lose their job , as they dont do the job properly.

Now i wonder what will happen with the rich Thai briber ! He has to run or .......?

A close friend of the Shinawatra family, has visited Thaksin in Dubai on multiple occasions, disliked by many high up in the junta command, many questions over the awarding of large government contracts during the TRT years.

He may well get gaol if all the stars line up.

guilty or not guilty, same same but different. this hiso mogul will find/get a "solution" that fits all. none of the serfs actually care about him being fined. they care about their families and enough baht at the end of the day. remember the army chopper back in the day that crashed there ? what do u think the people inside the chopper were about to do / heading to?

HISO+ARMY: DO AS U WISH.................
SERF: SHUT MOUTH AND PRAY TO BUDDHA AND HIM THAT CANNOT BE NAMED HERE...............

I believe the punishment is a police escort out of Thailand.
