hello fellow yanks...where to look on the internet for US contract work for new projects in fossil fired power generation, oil and gas for design and site supervision for construction, commissioning and warranty activities...

BSME, 30 + years of US and (mostly) international experience on new fossil power generation projects, USD300 million to 4 billion project value...

thanks in advance...

Sorry,  but have you checked the "offshore workers" subforum on this site?    They offer some helpful information.

???...this is the 'offshore workers forum' and there is no info available specific to my query...

I'd start with:

www.rigzone.com

https://jobs.oilprice.com/

https://www.oilandgaspeople.com/oil-and-gas-jobs-search/s/

And of course, LinkedIn (though I have no clue how to use it since I resist such sites that collect way too much personal info)

Then, you would do well to follow some of their links to dozens, if not hundreds of sites.  And don't forget the websites of the companies you're interested in working for.  Most of them have a "Careers" section that often has contract work.

thanks, impulse...I'll have a look...

there useta be a contractor's site 25 years ago called 'roadwhore' but haven't seen that around anymore...

unfortunately with the big outfits they also have BIG HR departments and they are a nuisance...insisting that you accept their terms for accommodation, transportation and etc...us mercenary types wanna be left in peace to get on with the work: 'just gimme the goddam money that we talked about and stand clear...'
