transferring extension etc to new passport but changing area question?

I have an extension for 1 year (retirement) plus multiple re-entry permit in my British passport granted at Jomtien (Pattaya). I am proposing to change address to CW immigration in Bangkok , but soon thereafter will need to get a new British passport.

Question:

Can the immigration office in BKK do the transfer to my new passport or do I need to return to Pattaya to have them do it?

Any other input?

If you had already done a change of address at Chaeng Wattana immigration after moving to Bangkok you could do the stamp transfer there.
