webfact Posted February 28, 2018 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Drug abuser arrested trying to smuggle 11,800 meth pills By The Nation Nong Khai police arrested an Udon Thani man late on Tuesday night at a road checkpoint while he was allegedly trying to smuggle 11,800 methamphetamine pills. Police stopped Pithak Sophakham, 27, when he rode his motorcycle past a checkpoint on Nong Khai-Phone Pisai road at the Ban Non Hong Thong intersection in Muang district at about 12.30am on Wednesday. He appeared to be high on drug, so police stopped him and found the meth hidden in his backpack. He tested positive to drug use. Pithak said he was given seven meth pills to use by a friend who asked him to smuggle the rest of the drug from Nong Khai to Udon Thani, where he would get an amount of money in return.
