Flying to the USA

 Try

Travelocity

Cheapoair

Priceline

I have dealt with all of the above with no problems, fly several times a year.

their prices will be similar but their attinuaries might be different because I assume they get different blocks of tickets.   For instance I found a good price on one but the layovers on one leg were too long, was able to find the same on another with better length layovers available.

Good luck

Try the travel sites listed above to get an idea of which airlines are flying to Thailand and then use airline specific web site

to determine if they offer more variety of flights or fares

Just get used to the idea that you are going to have to change planes (transit stop) with any airline between Thailand and the US

and how long that stop is going to impact your price

Fly EVA, premium elite class.  Worth the extra bucks.  EVA does not fly to a lot of American cities, so depending on where you are going, you may have to book some US CONUS connecting flights.  LAX, Seattle, on the west coast are good for EVA.  China air and EVA coach won't kill you, but I haven't done either in over a decade since I stumbled onto the EVA premium elite bigger seats and separate plane section.  I book directly with the airline site.  I have used Orbitz and Expedia now and then.  No issues with either, except when you need to make changes.  You have to contact them and you can't change the flights yourself, say at the airport airline ticket counter.

Do you care for recommendations?

What is your final destination airport in the US?

Bangkok-Buffalo, NY

Buffalo, NY- Bangkok

about 2 weeks sometime in June-July.

Thanks. Have been checking out some of the sites mentioned.

As NY city is about the opposite side of the earth from Bangkok you have endless options starting to the east (via Pacific) or to the west (Arabia and Atlantic).

Cathay Pacific (outbound to the east) and Emirates (outbound to the west) are two quality airlines with good total travel times.

Be prepared for ultra long haul like Hong Kong-New York (16:10h).

But as said endless options cheap or comfy.

(Qatar, Korean, Delta, ...)

Yeah, but getting us-state from the city is tough.

Could even look at going through Chicago...

I see, it's a considerable distance from NYC to Buffalo.

Chicago or New York city, roll the dice.

At least no blizzards in June/July?

For Chicago, Korean Air has aggressive prices.

Worth a look.
