A 22 year old man who admitted he can't drive has been sent for drug tests after a series of accidents in Bangkok.

After hitting a woman on a motorcycle in a narrow soi he fled the scene but eventually overturned after hitting many other vehicles and was subjected to a citizens' arrest.

Video footage posted to the "Khao San Muang Prakarn" site showed Pornthep Wangkornklang driving a Honda City. He collided with a motorcycle knocking a woman off and half ripping off his own fender.

Rather than stopping to check on the victim he reversed and then goes over the bike again fleeing the scene. The woman looks on casually perhaps stunned.

After this he hit four or five cars.

He finally lost control completely and overturned near the end of Soi Sri Dan 1 on Sri Nakharin Road.

He was delirious - he told a story about how he was out with his mate called Arm who was driving. Arm left the vehicle - to do a drug deal he thought - but when he didn't return he imagined his friend had been arrested so he decided to flee.

Even though he was unable to drive, reported Manager.

He admitted hitting the motorcyclist then colliding with other vehicles before he overturned and was arrested by members of the public.

Manager have not reported police involvement though they reported Pornthep had been sent for tests.

The incident was posted on Thursday though it is not confirmed when it actually happened.

If that's his alibi, a full blown confession would be absolutely priceless

A22 year old man has admitted he cant drive, thats not news, there are millions more here who cant drive, but they are on the roads everyday

I am reliably told by my wife's niece that the price for a driving licence in Thailand if now 800 baht.  She recently bought one.  When we lived in Chiang Mai it was 500 baht.  Of course you could actually take lessons and pass your test (as I made my wife do) but why bother when you can just buy one.

Friends recently were in a car/motocy accident. Their dash cam clearly shows a woman cut completely across a divided highway into line of cars, then bounce off their windscreen completely shattering it. No way they could stop. The lady, who will be OK, is ill and admitted she “can’t see well for years”. If you drive here get a dash/helmet cam!

I would say that's is honourable from this chap and really news worth.

The normal excuse is brake failure and those morons just continue after a wai and 500B.

Cheaper in Australia, I got mine out of a Wheaties packet 57 years ago and going.

Is this for real? The video - The woman just sits there like she waiting for a waiter to bring her chips!

She doesn't even look bothered that she has been knocked off her bike.

Maybe he has done it to her before, Ha!
