Fair comment but as a rough guess? Between.........what & what

I have spoken to some Nurses that are on 8000 baht  a month some a bit less some a bit more depends on specialty. Depends on what they do,

8000 baht is the starting salary of a practical nurse (studied at school for one year) who works for the government.

The 8000 baht is for working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. By working OT, night shift etc. they get another 2000-3000 baht, so about 10-11k per month (at this point the nurse is 19 or 20 years old, the salary does of course increase over the years)

If the person is a "real" nurse, which means she studied for 3 years, you can add about 3000-5000 baht on top of the starting salary.

Nurses who work for the government do this for the government perks. If they work in the private sector they earn about twice as much (just considering the money)

Corruption: how crafty people fake poor people with the complacency of those who should control.

I suppose every Nations in the world have this pathetic phenomena.

Why The Controller does not control? Why a person who earn 15k/month deposit 30k/month in bank and have Magnum Pickup? If only there were the will, there would be no such lousy phenomenon. A struggle between the lower strata of society, with the police officers who instead of defending the citizens, harass them and defend the elite. The development of the media of the web should stop this evil behavior, of course with a little courage on the part of the oppressed people.

Starting salary as a teacher in the back of nowhere , 8000k a mounth.

A job in the city , meant she would have to pay money , to big boss .

A sad situation, abuse of those , without money/contacts .  Lower caste .

I actually believe that when the RTP was formed, there was a quid pro quo with the government. We will pay you an unrealistically low salary, and you will need to buy a lot of your own supplies, and in return we will grant you a personal franchise, and will offer you a lifetime of protection from the law. You can do as you please.

It would take trillions of baht, to reform the police, pay them a living wage, and improve equipment, forensic labs, and bring the training of detectives and experts up to international standards. Trillions. Will it ever happen? That is difficult to say. Depends on where the nation goes. It was number #21 ten years ago. Now, it is #25. And the GDP per capita is #81 in the world. I believe over time, that will diminish, as the nation continues to be led by incompetent and hapless souls. I do hope that changes. I do hope the youth have their way, and are able to get rid of the army once and for all.
