JOC Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Almost a week since the last 'honest Thai cabbie' story........ Sometimes I wonder if it is all staged by TAT.....
Cadbury Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 The most remarkable part of the story is not the money being returned to it's owner but the fact that someone has discovered ONE honest taxi driver in Pattaya.
Lupatria Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 Again: Pattaya our peaceful family resort and the world center of honest cabbies.
Popular Post MartinBangkok Posted March 20, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 20, 2018 I just last week got cheated out of 100 Baht by a Bangkok taxi driver. He was supposed to give me 400 back from 500 Baht note. He gave me three, but it looked like four in the way he had meticulously folded them with double edges. Scumbag! 2 1

mpyre Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 A good deed like this should be applauded, and appreciated...all the whining and bitching by some Thai Visa members that inevitably follows a story like this is borderline neurotic...get some help! 2

tryasimight Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 I learned a lesson many years ago after losing my wallet. It only had about 20 dollars in it which in those days was half my meagre apprenticeship wage. Credit cards didn't exist. It also had my drivers license in it which was very important to me. A lady and her young son came to our house with it to return it. I took it and closed the door. Dad made me take out every note, go outside and give it to the boy. I'm glad he did. That money was lost and I learned a very valuable life lesson. Kid was pretty happy too....more money than he'd ever had in his life. They guys in this story had lost everything including passports. What value do you put on that when you are on your way to catch a plane? And they gave a very meagre reward for someones honesty. 1
