BANGKOK, 28th March 2018 (NNT)-Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has said the Thai export and tourism sectors both began to expand in February.

According to the premier, Thai exports grew continuously over the past 11 months before February, when they increased by 10%, while car exports, sales of farm goods and farm productivity also rose by 4%, 3.8% and 3% respectively. He contributed such growth in the farming sector to a better water management plan.

As for tourism, the Prime Minister revealed that the sector had generated up to 1 trillion baht in revenue in February, resulting in 24% growth. He claimed tourist safety and stability were major reasons that drew tourists to Thailand.

Gen Prayut also urged all members of the public and private sectors to be hospitable toward foreign tourists, adding that safety and good customer service are also very important.

Not cheap flights and the ease of going to other nearby countries ?  Tourists are safe as long as they stay off the roads and do not bathe in the sea.
