CityNews – The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning to residents in Northern Thailand as high heat and humidity is leading to some strong thunderstorms and hailstorms in the region.

 

The department has released stats that show the highest temperatures experienced across Northern Thailand have reached 35 – 40 degrees Celsius. There is a 60% chance of thunderstorms in Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Phichit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet and Tak.

We already have them the last 2 days, they are a bit late with the warning..as usual.

Bring on the rain.  I'm still coughing out the dust from Songkran.

Bit late for this one! This afternoon storms ripped through Mae Hia,Hang Dong , Samoeng. Many trees down and roofs torn off. No electricity for a huge area for many hours and still not restored in some places.

Saw 2 big power poles snapped at the base on the Cholprathan Road.

Same as posted above. Big storm last night after some of the hottest hours I have known in Nan.
