April 20, 20188 yr Milk from animals is actually bad for our health. It's also cruel how its produced (the calves taken from their mothers after birth, keeping the cow lactating long past the natural time, year after year, causing it ill health and pain, then the slaughter of the cow when it's not producing enough milk. Disgusting, filthy farms with animal abuse. Horrific. Just so we can have some milk in our tea or on sugary chemical laden breakfast cereals. However, soy is also bad for our health. https://wakeup-world.com/2012/05/21/httpwww-naturalhealthstrategies-comdangers-of-soy-html/ No need to drink any kind of 'milk'.

One of the stores that was out of stock now has stock -- Let us know the sugar content of the one you buy It's the same product. I don't understand the label. It says Sugars 2 n./(g) No percentage given. In any case I can't taste sugar in it. I can taste sugars in products like ketchup and bread. I've had "low sugar" cereals before and to me they are still way too sweet. So whatever this "No Sugar Added" product is, I think it's good enough for my uses. I am aware of the tricks played with sugar labeling. Such as using concentrated fruit juice and claiming there isn't sugar in it but anyone can taste their products are super sweet. Cheers. I've tasted that Ohayo soy milk before and it's sugar free (rod jued means plain, no sugar, and in the small print it mentions "no preservatives"). There's 2 types of Tofusan. One of them mentions "mai sai numtaan" = no sugar. The OP is an easily excitable kind of guy, and I hope this information can ease his neurosis.
April 28, 20188 yr These are also sugar free soymilk.Available at Big CThe Tofusan sells in big and small bottlesI just tried the bottom yellow/blue one in the photo, and with no sugar i just don't like it, not an enjoyable drink. I'm happy with coffee or tea without sugar but that soy milk, no thanks

No Sugar Added means what it says ( or it should do ! ) - the natural occurring sugars in pure soy milk are normally only 1 gram.
April 28, 20188 yr Such as using concentrated fruit juice and claiming there isn't sugar in it but anyone can taste their products are super sweet. Technically and for the law it is correct. Because they claim no added sugar. Same for the declaration of natural flavours. They can be made from sawdust or fungi, but it's still natural.
April 28, 20188 yr As a vegan for many years ( a vegetarian before that ) I used to enjoy soy milk ( unsweetened i.e. no added sugar ). I have found that the more I drank the more problems I had with joints in my fingers. Around 1 litre per day caused pain similar to arthritis, when I reduced to 250ml per day the discomfort subsided. Finally I stopped drinking soy milk and only use soy now as an occasional substitute for meat.

Tofu just contains a solidifying agent.

They don't claim there is no sugar in it, they claim there is no sugar added, quite different things. Added sugars are free sugars that have been added to the product and which the body struggles with and causes health problems, naturally occurring sugars are encased in fibre and the body copes with them well. Diabetics can eat foods that are high in naturally occurring sugars, such as fruit or dairy, but they cannot eat products with added sugar, that is why the distinction has been made and is also made clear on the labels, because some people need to know, its not a trick, it is important information for those who need to know.
