Drop in drug use among tested military conscripts

A total of 12,209 men who showed up for military conscription have tested positive for drug use, with 7,174 so far admitted to rehabilitation programmes (2,146 in hospitals and 5,028 in boot camps), said secretary-general of the Office of Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) Sirinya Sitthichai on Thursday.

Big drug crackdown in Thalang

Police received a report hat she was selling drugs to local juveniles regularly.

Thalang police have arrested a local drug dealer, 24 year old Saowarak ‘Tah’ Oamsin, with 4,548 amphetamine pills and 136.55 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Brunei woman drowns in Ao Nang, Krabi

They brought her onshore at the Nam Mao Bay Pier and applied more CPR during the journey.

A 60 year old Brunei woman, PG HJH Jamilah PG HJ Othman, drowned at Gai Island in the Had Nopparat Thara National Park – Mu Ko Phi Phi. Apparently she lost consciousness whilst wearing a life vest swimming in the water yesterday (April 18).

Officer shot in eye by hallucinating gunman succumbs to injuries

A policeman, who was shot in the right eye by a gun-wielding 21-year-old local man in a drug-induced hallucination during a three-hour stand-off in Songkhla’s Singha Nakhon district on Tuesday morning, succumbed at the age of 52 on Thursday.
