Gen Prawit: Thailand is ready to host Trump-Kim summit

 

 

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwon said today (April 21) that Thailand is ready to welcome US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un if they choose Thailand for the historic meeting.

 

Gen Prawit’s comment came as media and experts are speculating on possible site of the meeting of the two leaders.

 

Bloomberg reported that President Trump had said five locations are under consideration for his planned meeting in early June or before with North Korea leader Kim Jong-un.

Just woke up turned on my computer, looking at TVnearly choked on my coffee.

Surely nobody would want Ole Fatty anywhere near a US  - North Korea summit.

The man is just the same as his boss living in la-la land.

Time for the silly ole bugger to shut up.

What a show that would be, can you imagine Prawit and Prayuth together with Kim and Donald? 

Safety not a problem as long as the participants don't travel on the roads.

I'd suggest baby steps, start with something simple like promoting peace between a couple of technical colleges first.

Wow an outlandish attempt by the leadership of an autocratic country to grab some good PR.   Thailand is as safe and secure as say the budget airport in KL. 

 

It will most likely happen at the DMZ if it happens at all.  Might happen in China, but that would be a long shot.

I'd think the closest he would get to that would be a Subway Sandwich - undoubtedly with extra vegetables.

Oh the irony....Coming from a representative of a "government" who forced their way into power using guns and tanks....

Ideal location for the summit! 

President Trump and Kim should be able to conclude business with a minimum of distractions here than some of the other possible locations mentioned such as Ulan Bator. 

Thailand could guarantee a "happy ending" to the summit regardless of outcome.

Prawit also indicated Thailand is ready to host UFO landings.
