Is there any special procedure required?  Does entering on the new visa (with new visa number) automatically invalidate the re-entry permit which was attached to a different visa/extension of stay.

Thanks for advice.

There is no automatic cancellation of the re-entry permit.

If you have a valid visa for entry they should allow you to use it instead of the re-entry permit.

Be sure to write your visa number on the arrival card.

Just for my info.

If you have an extension of stay with a re-entry permit ( multi ) and then enter with a new 90 day single entry visa ( O or B ) which you then convert to an extension of stay ( 1 year ) can the original re-entry permit still be used with the new extension when you get it?

No you would not be able to use it. You would have a new permit to stay date from the extension. If you used the old re-entry permit it would allow a different permit to stay date that would void out your extension.

NO --It is linked to the extension for which it was issued.

Thanks. Just wanted to verify that point.
