BANGKOK, 3rd May 2018 (NNT) - The Internal Security Operations Command has revealed progress in the implementation of the government’s Thai Niyom Yang Yuen policy to help resolve people’s problems.

Spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command Maj. Gen. Peerawat Sangthong said on Wednesday that the Thai Niyom Yang Yuen policy implementation is currently in the third phase, which focuses on the solutions to problems and the building of awareness about public participation in the development process.

Maj. Gen. Peerawat said that the working group responsible for the implementation has visited more than 50 percent of the areas in focus and nearly four million people have participated in the process.

He added that all ISOC units have also been working in response to the policies given by the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, which calls on all forces to serve the public and make the people the center of all efforts.

The ISOC spokesman went on to say that many problems have been resolved since the implementation of the policy, including water pollution and its impact on agricultural areas, issues with transportation routes, and land and forest encroachment.
