I have seen Russians not saying they are Russian but many times stealing in Pattaya in the shops I have even told the staff before they are so blatant about it. One was filling his girlfriends rucksack with toiletries in Best Supermarket at the dolphin roundabout.I hate it the Thais are so trusting. Lock them up I hope they find them. If its an iPhone and lockable they have just stolen a brick. Sell it for parts? Two falangs selling a hot phone for parts to a Thai? Even assuming they can find a buyer without getting the police called on them how much would they get for it? A few hundred baht at most? Is that really worth not only taking the chance at being caught and jailed but likely being banned from the country? Know you managed to blame a Thai person partly, for theivious foreigners bad and unlawful behaviour. As you probably know, it´s not against the law to leave or forget your phone somewhere. Maybe you would be very happy if it happened to you and somebody gave it back to you, or you could find it in the reception because some good people left it there for you to find. They appear mature people who receive the courtesy of using someone's rest rooms. And then abuse that courtesy and show themselves to be dishonest petty criminals. I’ve had family with plenty of money and the dirty scum would still steal from people. It’s an adrenaline high or just a mentality.
