Essentially the minimum required, whether income, savings or a combination of both, is the same at all three stages; initial visa, FLR and ILR. However, at FLR and ILR the applicant's income can be used instead of or in combination with the sponsor's. Remember that if combining income and savings, the first £16,000 of savings is discounted. See the financial requirement appendix for the details.
