A Sri Racha mother furious with what she claimed was police inactivity has appealed to the military government for help after she said her handicapped daughter was raped.

The rape came to light only after her daughter showed obvious signs of pregnancy. When a clinic confirmed she was pregnant the 37 year old daughter admitted to relatives what had happened.

The mother, aged 54, said that a tractor driver named only as "C" picked her up at the end of October saying he would take her home.

Instead he took her to a cassava field and raped her.

She is handicapped though the exact nature of the handicap was not explained in the Sanook report.

"C" has denied everything.

None of the people in the report were named.

Bowin police were informed on April 24th but after a lack of progress in the case the mother went to the Sri Racha branch of the NCPO (National Council for Peace and Order) yesterday.

Sanook contacted Pol Lt Reuangsit Naweeratanawithaya of the Bowin station who said that a summons had been issued for the suspect. If he fails to show then a warrant for his arrest will be applied for.

Relatives said that they will go to Paveena Hongsakul for help if they fail to get justice.

Paveena runs a well-known organization that helps women and children in distress.

A summons, what they think this is like a parking offence? No wonder they have a bad reputation. In the UK we don’t give them time to get rid of any remaining evidence, arrange an alibi or flee, they get found and arrested. Here it obviously interrupts the fee earning motorbike crash helmet checkpoints.

Forensic evidence?

Can you just imagine the Instant Police attention in the UK? And how serious an allegation this would be treated as?

T.I.T.

The reality is (unless it effects you personally/financially, ) no one gives a monkey's (deleted) damn.

In the UK only if it is a hate crime, any other crime seems to be of secondary importance.

Amazing Thailand! I think Thai men are trying to give Indian men a run for their money. ?

Might even have been a virgin too if she was mentally disabled.

Absolute scum.

surely the man in charge of the police must lose face everytime the military is called upon to take up policing work

He wont give a toss if someone does his job for him.  He is concerned not with loss of face but loss of dosh.

Try saying that last sentence aloud without your teeth in!
