19 political groups given permission to convene meetings

BANGKOK, 9th May 2018 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has allowed 19 political groups to convene meetings, in preparation for the re-establishment of political parties.

Since March, 101 political groups have registered with the Election Commission of Thailand (EC) to form political parties. Of 61 groups that have already submitted letters asking for permission to organize party meetings, 19 including Palang Tham and Future Forward Parties have been given a green light. All political groups are required to obtain approval from the NCPO before they can conduct any political activities including meetings.

Meanwhile, in response to an activist group's demand for an election, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said there is a roadmap in place for the national polls.

The group has called for the NCPO to step down and asked for a general election to be held by November this year.

Secretary-General of the National Security Council Gen Wallop Raksanoh has urged the activist group not to break any laws and expressed his belief that the situation would remain under control.

Bet P.T. will not be the list for a while. Maybe some time just before the election if they have not fallen foul of the Election Commission by visiting Khun Shin or some other transgression.

It seems a bit like this of 61 applications 19 have been approved who are in favour of the junta !

Wow, after four years people are allowed to talk.  One can only guess what they will be allowed to do two years from now.  Debate little P and the man with the watch fetish ?

The Junta Party have long since had their meetings and organised their campaign and electioneering is now in full swing, with the support of their taxpayer funded team of civil servants and government resources. The roadshow headed up by the PM is busily roaming the countryside recruiting clapped out politicians who could have immediate short term value and later be disposed of when convenient.

Voters are being wooed with taxpayer handouts for projects that provincial administrators and village leaders regard as being potentially "rewarding".

All the other parties have an impossible task of making up ground before the election date. And the junta will assuredly use every dirty trick in the book to slow them down.

Of course, that Is the whole idea. And yes as stated a few posts up, they will use any dirty trick they think they can get away with to ensure it ends up exactly where we are now.

It would be interesting to know which ones
My guess would be mostly towards the green and yellow colour spectrum.

What about blue and purple, plus black and white as neutrals. Clearly, the Junta doesn't want red
