Thaksin

-23 cases of corruption "ready to be prosecuted". Results will be announced within 1 month

Thaksin linked to bombs

-"investigation in hand of police"

-"is not clear who is behind"

-"before 19/09, thai people faced many problems"

-"thaksin become a dictatorship"

-"airport : many corruption"

-is thailand a military state now ? "We have to look at what is army. What we are doing now is for the people of thailand"

The interview lasts 4 minutes only.

A big mistake in my view : Sonthi is wearing... an uniform.

It was as good as interviewing me or any other person, at least I would have spoken english and I would have lied better than he did :o

Oh me god...

This is like one of our internet debates on the large stage of CNN.

And Sonthi failed to establish several important points. He said that Thaksin was a dictator, and then straight switched, to prove his point maybe, to show the corruption issues in Suvarnaphum, which failed to prove his point.

The army is like the civilians of Thailand??? Ehhh, yesss...

Well, however weak Thaksin was in his interview, Sonthi has managed to make a lesser impression even.

i understand ur cynicism, but the reality here is:

in mathematical terms,

sonthi = army

army = prem

prem = ????

hope this helps

Exactamente.

The Army represents 'old money'.

Sonthi=President for Life

I hope not, but remember Gen. Mussharaf seizing power over a democratically elected govt in Pakistan, over 7 years ago now? :o He initially said that he was just a stop-gap to facilitate a cleaner democratic government, but then changed his mind, "in the interests of his country."

Must be addicting, this power game....?

Not quite. Well known that the army here counts bottles. The police counts bank notes. And even they don't represent old money. They are both the *tools* of 'old money' and live on commission.
