Video: Farang to the rescue after soi dog takes a beating from motorcycle taxi guy

A westerner in Chonburi was filmed taking pity on a soi dog after a motorcycle taxi rider was shown attacking it with a stick outside a convenience store.

 

In a sentimental video accompanied by instrumental music produced by Thai Rath Michael James Benz was filmed stepping in to save

"Jao John".

 

And the black mutt certainly seemed to have taken a liking to his savior as it liked his ankle.

 

Mr Benz was wearing a T-shirt that proclaimed: List of people I like: 1. Dogs.

 

Nothing else was listed.

 

The animal was shown being loaded up onto Mr Benz's conveyance that appeared to be a motorcycle with side car.

 

This time a more kindly motorcycle taxi guy was helping cradle the animal.

 

Thai Rath said "John" was heading for a new life.

 

His name was taken from the first syllable for the Thai word for stray.

 

More than 300,000 people have viewed the tear jerking video.

The dog has a collar on. Maybe it already has an owner. He could get problems for stealing it if the owner sees that video.

I used to love eating the dog biscuits when I was a kid..the dog didn't mind my mum did ?

i used to eat dog biscuits. they were alright. no different to the biscuits you'd get in a 24 hour ration pack. shit stoppers haha

Quite often I see them sleeping inside the store..so I go to the cashier and ask

"how much for a kilogram of dog" that sometimes gets the mutt shooed out for a while. ?

Dear so called people, some people act more like animals and some animals more like people. "The more people I meet the more I like my dog", seems quite appropriate at times like this!

The guy is called Michael baines I think. He works with local municipality in the area where he lives and owns a restaurant. He helps rescue and try to find homes for street dogs. 

This dog was well known in the area for living where it was and was fed and looked after by locals. Obviously some bitter taxi guy got jealous and decided he didn't like seeing the dog get more attention than him so hit it. It was filmed and the guy is getting a charge made against him for hitting the dog under the animal act with the video as evidence.

My rat-packs always had garibaldi biscuits; they were the second course.  The first course - steak and kidney pudding; ****in delicious!
