PHUKET: Outraged by a Facebook post calling him out to pay utility bills, a man on Saturday (May 26) stabbed and killed a relative of the landlord of the property the man had lived in for years.

 

The suspect, Wachara Plekpon 25, from Trang, surrendered himself at Cherng Talay Police Station at 9pm on Saturday night, some five hours after the murder.

 

Capt Ronnapoom Permpoon of the Phuket City Police was notified of stabbing, at a house in Soi Bangsan 2, Rassada, at 4pm.

As i have posted before a Thai will commit murder before he will lose face, and now it has happened.

Face, face, face cannot lose face no matter what.

Having the fact that he had not paid his bills posted on facebk, he lost face, so had to do something, and that something was murder.

yep,...not a worry in the world, just a usual day for him !!!

The killer will probably blame Facebook.

Sadly you might be correct. He will almost immediately be granted bail and the case will just 'disappear' in the system.  

Maybe if he spent his money on his debts rather than what appears to be fatty foods, there would not have been any issues !

Murdering an innocent person. What could anyone do to lose more face than that?

Just because there mightn't be any more in the English language press about it doesn't mean nothing will come of it.  He will go through the courts and be sentenced to a lengthy jail term.

post 12 and you believe this do you, a couple of years ago a guy raped and killed a girl and her friend saw him walking the streets 6 months after, and as usual jack shit was done about it, been living under a stone have we

Might get to court. Much depends on if he can settle the family's 'blood' money and pay off the police.  Also what influential connections he has. Even if found guilty he can appeal for ever, while still walking about free. It's a corrupt legal system. I have had a taste of it (as a witness in court) . Not nice or fair.
