Hello All

I am one of the many sufferers of the Penang Multiple Entry Non B Visa rule change.

For about 8 years I have been getting Multiple Entry Visa Non B visas from Penang. The paperwork has always been supplied by my employers accountant/lawyer and there has never been a problem.

I understand that at any consulate in South East Asia I will not be able to get any longer than 3 months from now on. The accountant/lawyer seems to have no clue about what to do.

Can I go back to Australia and apply for the 1 year multi entry non b visa or are they just not giving them out anywhere anymore?

What documents do I need to apply for a 1 year extension of the non-b visa at the immigration office in Koh Samui?

Thanks for your answers.

They show the requirements for a multiple entry non-b visa on the Canberra embassy website after you enter your country here. http://canberra.thaiembassy.org/Home/visa

The most difficult requirement for many to apply for an extension is 4 Thai employees and a minimum salary of 50k baht for those from western countries,

General list is here on the immigration website. https://www.immigration.go.th/content/service_1

Hello ubonjoe

Thank you for your prompt reply and relevant information.

For the extension the salary and the number of employees is not a problem. It's the company lawyers/accountants. They insist that it is not possible to get a 1 year visa. I have shown them the link you sent but they say that the information is wrong or out of date. I have asked them to prepare the paperwork so I can try anyway but they said it's a waste of time and are refusing to do it, but they are happy to prepare the paperwork for my 3 month non b visa application. It's very frustrating.

With the correct paperwork is it guaranteed to get a 1 year multiple entry in Australia? I would actually be applying at the Sydney office https://thaiconsulatesydney.org/en/visas. I am thinking about going home soon. It will be my first winter in Australia since 1995.

The info on the immigration website is about equal to what is shown in clause 2.5 and the annexes of Police Order 327/2557  basis for extension of stay. I think they just don't want to deal with all the paperwork required for the extension.

The Sydney consulate website appears to be short on info. I suggest you contact them about their requirements and getting a multiple entry non-b visa.
