An ex husband is the prime suspect in the murder of a 48 year old Hat Yai businesswoman found incinerated in a field yesterday.

Police were called to the field in the Ban Tha Nang Horm area after locals found a burnt area and some suspicious remains ten meters off the road.

All that was left were wires from the burnt tires and fragments of bone.

Forensics discovered that the body of the victim had been burnt in a ring of tires. Then after the incineration someone had crushed the bones and scattered them about the field in an effort to conceal the identity of the victim.

Skull fragments and other small pieces of bone were found all about but it was impossible to piece them together. One unburnt tire was also at the scene.

Then investigators found a wedding ring and a burnt denture.

Soon Paweena Khuntrongaksorn, 58, arrived at the scene. Her younger sister Pinyada Paenja ,48, had been missing since May 23rd.

As soon as she saw the wedding ring and denture she confirmed that they belonged to her sister.

Relatives told police Pinyada or "Oi" was a wealthy businesswoman. She had disappeared from her house along with her Benz car - they could only remember the licence plate was 333.

Bloodstains were found at the house.

Cops also understand that the victim's ex husband had moved back into the house though they were not living as man and wife.

Neighbors heard an argument before the couple and the car disappeared.

Songkhla police chief Pol Maj Gen Prida Piamwaree said that he was taking over the case from local investigators.

Prime suspect is the estranged husband Krissada Maikhao or "Roj" who is now being hunted.

Yes, but they did not pinch or lose anything.  They deserve some praise from time to time.

Cops also understand that the victim's ex husband had moved back into the house though they were not living as man and wife.

Was there a gender change involved?

It was the police who found the ring and denture, without which identification would

have been impossible.

Was there a gender change involved?

Isn't that how most married couples live?
