fin5prtw
Hi I'm a British woman, married to a Thai man. We have a 7 month old baby that was born in Thailand. I would like to apply for my yellow book soon (Tabien Baan for foreigners). Can anyone inform me of what I need to do/bring with me to apply for this? Do I apply at the local amphur? Many thanks
ubonjoe
You will have to do application for the yellow house book at the Amphoe where the blue house book that it will be based upon is for. It requires permission of the holder of that blue house book to do the application. Best to ask the Amphoe where you apply for it at what they require since it varies from one to another.
Blue Muton
Quite right of UJ to advise to check with your local amphoe first. FWIW I got mine last year, in my amphoe my wife had to take her Tabian Baan and id card, I also needed to bring along our pooyai and a teacher. They also insisted that we got our UK marriage legalised" in Thailand first, although they were incapable of doing that for us so we ended up going to Bangkok for that. Once I got the yellow book it was a mere formality to get an ID card. Good luck.
