Bangkok Ape
Drinking water will be fine. That's a given. Hypothermia will be the likely killer after drowning. I still don't understand why audible contact has not yet been made. Surely they have special sonic equipment?
Popular Post rick99
This is a horrible event to watch, as time goes on and on . They need to dive through to the boys. This requires people who are trained and equipped for specific blackwater diving in cave situations (most likely from the USA navy etc. ...independent specialists can be found online... " blackwater diving" ) . These specialists are the only people who can conquer the fear of getting through zero visibility water (extremely difficult psychological training ). Also must have no fear of ghosts or spirits. .and must be properly equipped beyond mere tanks etc ... I send my best wishes for the pumps to work. And hope that other nations help quickly. This is a parents worst nightmare. The nation can be commended for the extraordinary efforts made so far. Let's pray for the boys.

Let's hope so, under the rule of 333, water is the most pressing need right now, assuming they can still breathe air. Should have been done immediately If they are still alive now then surely they will stay alive for a few days? My understanding is that the first 24 hours would be potentially critical and if they survived that then they are out of further danger IF they stay put and have adequate drinking water. Physiologically it would be hellish though.

Give it a break. You have no idea how fast the water flow is, do you. Yes murky water that isn't moving you can get through by feeling your way along but water with a very fast flow rate that is murky is a ehole different ball game. What exactly do you think the guys can hold on too to pull themselves through. No doubt your daily exercise is swimming across fast flowing rivers while blindfolded. You should be there giving them your advice and all will be fine and dandy. Edited June 27, 2018 by overherebc 4 1

Seems to me that everyone is doing their best, but we are only getting to hear part of the story - and lots of conflicting information. For one example: you mentioned 2" pipes and small pumps being used, but I have seen 6-8" pipes and massive new pumps being deployed. Also there is talk of emptying down nearby reservoirs to lower the water table. 5
