That's in your favour. Some insist on same date as the application.
 
At least you now know the specific requirement of Chonburi Immigration for future reference.
There is no 'standard' advice that can be given in these situations, because each office can set it's own requirements on documentary evidence it requires to comply with the rules.
 
From your experience you could post an up to date list of the requirements for an extension base on marriage at Chonburi IO, on the Pattaya forum to help other local members who may follow in your footsteps [emoji846]

List of forms & Photo copies for spouse visa application X 2 That I used for my recent application at Chonburri Immigration Jomtien    (you have to have 2  complete  sets of the  application)

 

1             Form TM 7, plus Passport photo attached   on the rear side x2   

 NB. https://www.immigration.go.th/download/1486547929418.pdf kindly supplied from UbonJoe makes filling in this form in  extremely easy. You can fill it in online and then print out the form duly completed

 

2             Passport first information page with all your details         x2

3            All pages from your passport with any information etc    x2        Visas, stamps etc

4             Retirement extension                                                                 x2    

5            Used re-entry permits                                                                 x2    

6             “O” Visa  stamp, possibly  from outdated passport          x2     #  if it is not included on your new passport

7             Departure card from last re-entry                                           x2     

8             Pink ID card front and back                                                      x2      # Wan not used by the Immi Officer

9             Yellow book front page and back page                                 x2      #

10           Thai driving licenses front / back                                            x2       #

11           90 day reporting advisory                                                         x2

12           Wife’s  ID card front /back                                                        x2

13           Wife’s  Blue book front/back pages                                       x2

14           Marriage certificate font/back                                                x2

15           Kor Ror 2                                                                                        x2

16           Photos of s around the house inside/outside                      x2   must be postcard size on an A4 sheet so they can write on it

17           Copies of other bank books                                                     x2    #

18           Copy of letter from the bank with 400K                 x2

19           Copies of how to locate the house                                         x2     preferably hand written on an A4 sheet

20.         six months statements of the bank account with the       x2       #  400K in it

 

Original documents to be taken to Immigration together with application TM 7 and photocopies

Other bank books for joint or sole  accounts you may have.    

Marriage certificate Kor Ror      

Kor Ror 2 certificate updated within thee last 2 weeks   

Own . Pink ID.

Thai Driving licenses.

Yellow book.

Wife’s  blue book and ID.

 

#  These items may have been needed or not I am not sure but thought that if you are travelling to the immigration office from a distance away it is sensible to have them with you just in case

Remember to use a blue ink pen when counter signing any photocopies of ID, Passport etc

Today I applied at Khon Kaen Immigration for a visa extension based on marriage with Thai national. The previous visa based on retirement. The IO was helpful and a missing picture as well as two witnesses I can present when they call me next month. The whole procedure today took time about 40 minutes.No difficulties at all.
