Police in Pattaya on Sunday rounded up more than 100 Arab motorbike racers.

A team of more than 50 officers from local and Tourist police detained the group after blocking access to Soi VC and Soi Yen Sabai as the group were riding round on their modified motorbikes.

After seeing police some of the youths casually tried to park up their motorbikes in nearby hotel car parks in a bid to avoid detection, while others questioned the police as to why they had been stopped.

Police told the group they had received complaints from local residents about their loud motorbikes and that if they continue to race around the streets of Pattaya they will face legal action.

Police said this is the start of a crackdown on the Arab motorbike racers who ride their loud motorbikes around Pattaya late at night and who have been the subject of an increasing number of complaints from locals.

Police said they will start confiscating bikes from the riders, but will also target the owners of the motorbikes who have rented them to the youths, as well as going after those who modified the bikes.

Was there not a story a while back about the police stopping a bunch of Arab motor bike racers? They were given a warning. I guess must be a different group of police than the last bunch.

Actually the whole story is incorrect.

it was 30 riders and police did not casually cautioned them but put a strip out which knocked down all 30 of them, a nice big pile up of 30 bikes and people all mangled up.?

Yes!!?

I hope that is correct, only way to deal with them, damage to them and the bike
