All three of them or just one? I have seen conflicting reports.

One would think their continued advice on best extraction methods would be useful.

I heard all 3 but hope not as well as I'm sure their expertise will be useful for exaction.

Reports on U.K. News stations and CNN is that they have stayed as advisors only and it's been all taken over by Thai military

What exactly do you have against the English?

So you believe that Thai SEALS actually got to the boys first but decided not to show themselves or contact the boys in any way at all?

That they generously allowed the Brits to be the first ones to talk to the boys?

Do you also believe that all the PR and News teams suppressed the fact that the SEALS were first on the scene?

Of course it is a joint effort and nobody was putting any country on a pedestal.

Try to understand the difference between Navy SEALS who would rarely work in caves and the Brits who do this sort of thing on a regular basis in many countries across the world.

Ben Reymenants told Sky News: “This is one of the more extreme cave dives that I have done. It is very far, and very complex. When it starts raining the flow is so hard you can barely swim against it and the visibility reduces to zero.”

Quite simply the 3 Brits were the first as they are simply the best at exploring uncharted cave diving in the world. Could have been any Nationality, Thais included. There was no time to pick and choose who should be first. Once through they then had a line (rope) that everyone else could follow quickly and safely. Watch the you tube video posted earlier to get an idea of how hard uncharted cave diving is. Again, a brilliant job by all involved. Hope they manage to bring them out, this is going to prove to be difficult unless they can drop the water levels.

You insert a quote from me and then delete it? Then you make the ridiculous statement above? The effect of doing so means that no one has any idea what you are referring to?

The two Englishmen are world-renowned cave rescuers and it is not surprise that they LED Thai Navy Seals to the boys ... and that's why they were the FIRST to meet them. The Navy Seals are experienced divers but they are not search and rescue experts, so no surprise there.

The two guys deserve all the plaudits ... they travelled thousands of miles and I suspect that the 12 kids and coach are very grateful to them.

Yea don't worry the Thai seals are getting all the credit on Thai TV now no more mention of the Brits probably won't be long before they claim it was the Navy Seals speaking English.

They've done their job and gone home for well earned tea and biscuits.   From what I've heard each team had a clear role, and the UK divers had the unique experience in laying the ropes whilst diving in very difficult conditions - so they had to go first.

Now the ropes are in place, the medical specialists and local divers can come and go as needed.

So a great team effort by all, including some people who are not in the cave, such as Thai Airways.

Yes well I'm not the one claiming the Navy Seals found the boys.
Yes it was a team effort and everyone involved is a Hero!

Actually I think SEALs do have search and rescue experience/expertise, but not extending to cave diving. That is highly, highly specialized and only a handful of people worldwide are experts in it. Fortunately, they came here.

It is very humorous and sad to see many people, especially who are very advanced in age, bickering and insulting each other about who raised the flag first! Definitely with the advancement of age it seems the mental status detiriorates rapidly. Very sad indeed, but inevitable - or, is this phenomena brought aboout with the 'TVF attitude'

By the way, in the news...
He said the whole team is now safely in the hands of seven Seal divers, a military doctor and a nurse from the Royal Thai Navy's underwater and hyperbaric medicine unit, who have volunteered to stay with...

Nothing wrong with saying a British diving team found them at 4:30 am

The Professionals have done the job and bowed out - but the gallery is tearing the flesh apart. What a disgraceful behavior. Or maybe not...?

Definitely not (I am not sure of the time). For me anyone can say any thing, but the important fact is that the children were found. My respect to ALL involved - the decorations, anyone can fight for!

Cheap bickering is disgusting, especially by the aged community!

Thais could learn many things from all the Farangs.

But no.

Maybe they will file this experience in the back of their heads and stop and listen for a change.

In this kind of searches, nothing will beat experience and determination.

As I've said before on other posts totally predictable that if true the Brits have left. Most good people from Britain are modest when they have carried out a brave or outstanding act. Sadly it's something that most Thais in uniform haven't learned and I cringe at what will happen over the next weeks with the predictable photo shoots and media frenzy. At the end of the day though the British experts will not be forgotten while the many uniformed media grabbing members of Thai police and Military will. On a footnote the Brit divers aren't stupid and I'm sure knew that the best option was to head out and leave local experts! crack on

Absolutely nothing

1. Was a joint Effort by many

2. Thai seals there at same time.

3. Brits are some of the very best, and just maybe the best...But their are many same capabilities in scuba.

4. End of the day they were found and not rescued, Hard part is yet to come....

Happy Ending is all that matters..not who was First.

It's so amusing to watch how painful it is for you that the two English search and rescue experts reached those kids first, and effectively led the search. That was the reason that they were invited. In an earlier rescue the French Government asked for them by name, because they are recognised as world class in their field. You're making a fool of yourself.

I.   I agree

2.   No they were not, or they would have shown themselves. The Brits on the scene explained that there would be more people returning the following day. SEALs are not trained in cave diving though perhaps in Thailand it might be a good idea to do so as a specialised skill in the future.

3.   The Brits ARE the best at cave diving. There is NO comparison between scuba diving and cave diving other than scuba diving is just the first step towards cave diving. Scuba diving is usually done in clear open water. Cave diving requires rigorous training far beyond that of scube diving and is done in places where there is no lighting and usually it is impossible to see more than a metre ahead of you. In addition you have no idea usually where the cave is leading to or even the size of the hole you are following.

4.   I agree with you there.

Oh Dear ...despite leading the efforts to find the trapped Football team

It now looks like the British experts are now going to have to show your precious

Thai SEALS how to rescue them also. Yes another two British expert Cave divers have

Just left the U.K. Bringing with them lots is specialist equipment including adaptors

To allow them to use Thai Seals bottles ! funny how your elite don't have that equipment available !! Actually it's not ! So looks like despite your narrow minded

Rhetoric looks like your lads aren't as good as YOU say ! Ohh and for the record no more abusive PM's please and I'm a guy and don't take kindly to your sexist remarks

About woman ! Wind your neck in ..ohh and I don't do drugs or drink very rarely also

Unlike it would seem you..back to the great effort now by many people including Thai SEALS !
