WATCH: Video claims to show fifth boy being taken from helicopter to ambulance

Thairath shared a video from AFP which claimed to show the fifth boy from the Tham Luang cave being transferred from a Royal Thai Police helicopter to a waiting ambulance.

The fascinating video shows how the boys are protected from sunlight and prying eyes by umbrellas held by police officers who huddle round the boy.

The so far unnamed fifth boy left the cave at 4.45pm on Monday and was taken to Chiang Rai hospital.

By 6.45pm three more boys had been safely rescued from the cave, meaning that a total of 8 boys are now in hospital, with five more still in the cave.

"As of now, eight people have left the cave," an official involved in the rescue operation told Reuters.

After more than 2 weeks in a dark cave, sunlight is going to be pretty painful to the eyes. That should sort itself out quite quickly, and it seems no other reported serious injuries. I think we might almost be out of the woods with this one.

Hope so!hope the remaining five and the teams out soon!
