Excellent news. It would have been very hard for the coach to be in there on his own. I hope they have continued success and by later today, they will all be safely above ground.

  • No reason to try to make it faster, safety is paramount.

doubt that is this cave, water is too clean  and they are not carrying them, one diver in front and one behind. Imagine it is from another cave rescue for display purposes only

It's been shared a gazillion times so I assume it's genuine. Also just seen some pics of the lads on similar stretchers outside the cave

Wonderful news.

My thoughts also with the loved ones of the brave Thai diver who came out of retirement and died trying to help.

So now what do we all do with our lives?

' They think its all over.....................it is now '

7.20  Helicopter flew over , the last one I hope.

Hurrah! That the best news I've heard in quite awhile. Congratulations to all involved.

RIP for the former Thai Navy SEAL Saman Kunan.

My guess is that there may very well be a surge in a need for ESL teachers, especially around Chang Rai.

This is the best feel good story I have heard in many years.

Trust that his tragic death isn't forgotten in 5 minutes and that his family are well compensated , it's the least that can be done.

Thanks for the link.

Very fortunate that the expat living locally Vernon Unsworth was on the scene and could persuade authorities to bring in the very experienced rescue divers.

Good news that all Navy Seals, volunteers and doctor safely out now too.

Congratulations to all.

I had the same thought with the exception of 12 kids and coach (in miniature) - sitting at the feet of Saman

...  This is a beautiful example of international cooperation working perfectly and gives me hope that it will become a learning experience that will grow and flourish into the future.

No one, no nation or culture knows it all.  There are times when it is appropriate to ask for help.  To hell with "macho".
