the rate was 100 to the pound ..and even made 105 very briefly ..the numbers on the cambio board were changing every 5 minutes.. i  was rolling in money.. a great time to be long timing with the honey of your choice

Cant remember 100 to the pound most i saw was in the 70s i think . . still good times ,even 12 years ago it was in the 70s

That was just the start of the big Thai Baht crash (Asian crisis).

Rate in July jumped to 50.

Peak rates were in January 1998.

Highest I can see is 90.67 (currency market).

105 must have been very briefly, intra day?
