Popular Post Jonathan Fairfield Posted August 2, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2018 Amazing 71 year old Thai woman wows America’s Got Talent TV show judges Image: NBC A 71 year old Thai woman has wowed judges on the popular TV show America’s Got Talent with her impressive ballroom dancing routine - and become an internet sensation in the process. Quin Bommelje who grew up in a small village in rural Thailand and moved to the United States to live with her husband of nearly fifty years, said she only took up dancing 10 years ago. Speaking on the show, Quin credited Thai village life and her parents instilling their strong work ethic that enabled her to follow her dreams. With her husband watching from the audience, Quin took to the stage with her 35 year old dance partner Misha Vlasov and floored the judges with their performance of "Sax" by Fleur East. Judge Heidi Klum said "You have definitely inspired me. I think you are an absolutely incredible woman." "The best part about you guys is your personality," Simon Cowell added. "You were great. This is exactly what we were looking for." "You know, you say you want to inspire people of a certain age, but you have inspired everybody of all ages. It was truly a remarkable performance," McBride said, before slamming the coveted Golden Buzzer and bringing Quin to her knees, weeping with joy, as the pair were showered with shimmering confetti. McBride's Golden Buzzer sends the amazing duo immediately through to the live rounds at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The footage of Quin dancing on America’s Got Talent was widely shared on Thai social media on Thursday, with on video being watched more than one million times. The clip of Quin dancing posted to the America’s Got Talent YouTube channel was one of the top trending videos on YouTube on Thursday. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-08-02 4 1

nausea Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I was curious that she was able to do the splits as I thought that was something you had to learn young, and she's only been dancing 10 years. So curious, in fact, that I googled it, and yeah, apparently it is possible to learn at an older age, just a helluva lot more difficult. 1
doremifasol Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Awesome! Congratulations to the dynamic duo. 1

jaiyen Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 But look again and you will see that she does very little dancing. Its all lifts and being thrown around by the guy. Not very impressive after 10 years of learning and she is already very flexible. Age is not a huge hurdle. I went back to doing Martial Arts at 65 and I am better than a lot of they young guys, and I can still do the splits ! 6
Popular Post mok199 Posted August 3, 2018 Popular Post Posted August 3, 2018 OH Behave prrrrrr...She is definitely a hot Mom with talent...YA Baby... 2 1

Why are you mocking the ladies performance? Not many 71 year olds could do that, well done to her. Now go back to playing the Kung <deleted> kid and give yourself a good hard slap. 13 1 4

I am a dancer too and can show you old girls who can do more than that. You live in Thailand and dont see what is out there in other countries. She is an average dancer and is just being shown off by the TV programme she is on. Its all about getting viewers. !! Britains Got Talent is the worst of the lot of the talent programmes. I bet you watch that one Colin. 2
Juan B Tong Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Quin and Misha have been dancing competitively together for five years. They are four-time World ProAm Senior Rhythm Champions and are the 2017 United States ProAm Senior Rhythm Champions. 2

She's an expat Thai, and Thais and most Asians are very flexible. She's probably been that flexible since birth. Bravo to her and her performance, never mind the negativity from some. 3 1
atyclb Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 wonder how much her "hansum man husband" has spent on cosmetic medical procedures?? 3
SlyAnimal Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Just did a quick google search, and found her placings. C1 is a pro/amateur division where the amateurs must be 71 - 80 years old. She definitely seems to be picking up a lot of 1st places in her competitions, and in a wide variety of dances too. So full credit to her, her performance could definitely inspire older people to participate in ballroom dancing which is awesome.http://unitedstatesdancechampionships.com/winners-circle/heat-list/F%3ABommelje%2C Quin/ 1
khunPer Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 "We don't stop dancing because we grow old - we grow old because we stop dancing"...? (Unknown) 2

Can check her stats here , http://unitedstatesdancechampionships.com/winners-circle/heat-list/F%3ABommelje%2C Quin/ she has an impressive amount of first places. Wow, you're a dancer also and a kungFu practitioner, PM me and we can meet up in Pattaya and you can show me how good you are at one of the Martial Arts centers. I have studied Bak Sil Lum Northern Style KungFu since my late 20's and can still do most of the moves I did then even though I am now 70. That's why I can appreciate her moves, flexibility and strength at her age , takes a lot of work and dedication especially for someone who did not train till they were 61 years old. 3

Does it concern you? Does it matter in the scheme of things? She's an attractive and talented Thai woman, for her age. But it's possible she's had a rhytidectomy, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, mastopexy, abdominoplasty and possible gluteal augmentation which in the eyes of her husband was money well spent. But then again maybe not and she's just a health conscious Thai lady that has looked after herself for 60 years., 3
