There is some evidence that the MMR vaccine could possibly cause autism in a few children, so understandably many parents preferred to give their children the vaccines individually. The authorities tried very hard to stop this, and their argument (IIRC) was that the delay in administering the individual vaccines could cause an increase in the number of these (already very low....) diseases..... One of the worst examples of the 'establishments' determination to enforce their rules on everyone, even when there was no reason to do so. The three separate vaccinations had worked extremely well for decades. The doctor behind that pile of conspiracy poo had a financial interest in undermining the MMR vaccine - he’s since been struck off. One of the worst examples of fraud within medicine in living memory. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Wakefield

Namely, the three separate vaccinations had worked extremely well for decades, but even though the public (rightly or wrongly) were concerned about the MMR single vaccination - the authorities made things worse by making it extremely difficult for parents to give their children individual vaccinations against these diseases. Almost certainly because they are required to provide a service within a budget. The concerns of parents were a direct result of Wakefield’s fraud and scare mongering. If their is a scandal it is surely why is he not in prison.
ozzydamo
Hydrogen gas technology has come to the point where we can have totally carbon free energy now. The 2 big problems were how to bank solar energy and how you could transport Hydrogen cost effectively. Both have been solved, solar plants will be used to split water thru electrolysis, then the hydrogen produced will be converted into ammonia so it can be transported to its destination of use and converted back into hydrogen gas for use in vehicles or power stations. Even natural gas can be converted into Hydrogen and the carbon turned into graphite for batteries. We will see this technology rollout rapidly over the next decade. If your invested in fossil fuels, it's time to get out. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-08/hydrogen-fuel-breakthrough-csiro-game-changer-export-potential/10082514 https://www.carboncommentary.com/blog/2017/7/5/hydrogen-made-by-the-electrolysis-of-water-is-now-cost-competitive-and-gives-us-another-building-block-for-the-low-carbon-economy http://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/199623/hazer-group-demonstrates-proof-of-concept-to-produce-graphite-and-hydrogen-199623.html
