Police in Nakhon Si Thammarat had to hold off on arresting a suspected drug dealer on Friday morning while they saved him from choking to death on a wad of banknotes he swallowed in a bid to destroy evidence.

Sahasnai Khamkli, 36, went into convulsions and collapsed after wolfing down Bt300 worth of paper money with which he’d allegedly been paid by an undercover policeman for two meth pills.

The arresting officers had to pound on his back until he coughed up the cash.

He was taken to Thung Yai police station to be booked for drug trafficking.

The undercover officer had gone to Sahasnai’s house in Ban Sai Ngam, Tambon Thayang, and bought the methamphetamine.

Once the exchange was made, other cops broke down the door, panicking Sahasnai into swallowing the loot.

This is insanity beyond belief. He actually tried to pay for killing himself! ?

Hmm. I suspect I may have laughed and watched

Sissy , could not even eat 300 baht , though if it was in 20 baht notes, some drinks would be needed
