Headlines like the Bangkok Post.......true but not really.

This this part, however; is true. A friend of mine was going to buy a Dynasat system in Chiang Mai so he could watch the Dream network broadcast from the Aguilar Satellite. He decided not to buy because the dealer he was going through told him that in May, upgrades as we know it (every 3 months or so) would stop due to the Dream service providers upgrading their equipment.

I contacted my dealer in Phayao and asked if this was true and he confirmed it but with a little more detail. There are two options planed after Dream's upgrade.

Option One: Dynasat would try to crack the new code and make Dream avaliable like before.

Option Two: Purchase a receiver that uses a card and buy the card. The card would cost about 4000 baht a year. No word on if Dynasat would help with the purchase of the receiver.

Has anyone else heard anything like this?
