Enoon
Never mind "offering" it. It should be ******* compulsory.
pattayadgw
A good idea. All tourist vessels should be made to have stability tests carried out and proper calculations made for maximum number of passengers.

Maybe you can tell navy and other ones who are responsible for this. Don't confuse opinion with fact.
Oziex1
A positive improvement for safety no doubt but I am still a great believer that management of vessels leaving harbour in adverse conditions is the key to safety.

'nuf sed Requirement in Thailand is to have liferafts on the boat for number of guests allowed on the boat + staff + 10%. Liferafs are only required though if the boat has a certain size, for smaller boats liferafts are not required. Capacity of liferafts most commonly used is 25 pax. So with a boat allowed for 50 + staff that means 3 liferafts required.
NamKangMan
Here's a thought. Perhaps some training could be offered on the correct use of the vessel itself, in that that, maybe it's possible the life rafts will be rarely needed. ?
