Looking to Marry my Thai GF of 17 years soon...  I know the costs of the US Embassy parts,  but have no idea as to getting the Translations and getting it Certified by MFA,...  Can anyone break them down for me...

For the translation from 300 to 500 baht per page is about the norm. List of translators from the embassy. https://photos.state.gov/libraries/thailand/231771/acs/translators_internet_service_photographers.pdf

For the translation certification at the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA it is 200 baht for normal service or 400 baht for expedited service per stamp. Soruce: http://www.consular.go.th/main/contents/images/text_editor/images/Chart EN.png

For a few hundred baht most translation services can get the certification done for you. IMO it worth the cost to save the time and effort of doing it yourself. They can do it for you and send it to you by EMS which is real good if you live outside Bangkok.

Just a quick query pianoman. Have you been married before? Reason for asking is the new regulations that have certainly come in for UK citizens on June 1st 2018.  Any documents like divorce papers, death certificates etc issued in the UK have to now be "legalised"  in the UK before going to the Embassy here and the MFA. Just make sure it is not the same for yourself.

Use the translation service inside the MFA building. As you get off the elevator on the first floor, you can see there booth in front of you. They charge 300thb per page and a service fee if they submit the docs to MFA. They can post the docs to your home if needed.

Is it a must to translate a double paged mariage document? The backpage is only some explanation of the frontside.
