Kumpa Steak House San Kamphaeng

Tenderloin Pork in Pepper Sause is great. Fish and Chips great! Most likely the best place in SK to eat. Tartar is okay but not my pick. Not that much choice in SK sadly for food. Not many Thai places that are good either. Lots of Mum and Dad eateries but only a few are okay and you got to know where to go. Only one really decent coffee house here and even that is hard to find. SK has a good vibe but the food is not one of them. Have been here now for two years full-time and just about tried everywhere. If I want something decent, got to go to Chiang Mai. The few farang eating places out here are not good - just barely average and expensive for what you get. Still, one Coffee shop here does maybe one the best homemade brownies I have tasted. SK is pretty quiet on the food scale of things.

Dhara Dhevi is that way which has a decent Italian then there is the Japanese opposite, Tengoku both of which are far from cheap but both quality.

Samsen Villa is decent and far more affordable and for coffee and cake Chez Nous is worth a look.

There is not much to enjoy on SK area... The german restaurant is OK, Suan Pak Akhun is a décent thaï restaurant but inconstant quality.

Avoid tartar bistro and steak Kumpa like the plague.. or if you like sugar and Factory food then go there.

The best place closed by is at Promenda..like Duke, Ragu or Fuji.

San kampaeng is really Bad for good food.. only good thing is local food like noodle or Kao man kai, But there is this guy who grill on bbq veal meat and porc : excellent but not for noon because open only on afternoon.

Nasi Jumpru is a good one but would label it 'Fusion Thai' rather than high end but certainly worth a visit. If for some reason you turn up and they are closed Tengoku the high end Japanese restaurant have a branch just down the road in Mae On but believe this one is only open weekends.

Not quite San Kamphaeng; however, go out on the 1317 past the Bonville? gated community towards the hot springs and there is a big restaurant on the left hand side. Choice of aircon or outdoors eating. Excellent large salads, very fresh. A  bit pricier than the standard restaurant, but good value.
