Limit for carrying cash into Thailand

I wonder if the 6k pound number is the most you can take out of the UK without declaring it. For the US it is $10k.

UK.Limit is 10k GBP........Or was last time I Left......You still have to declare to U.K. HMRC Though & Prove to them it's come from LEGAL Sources....
