Ask this question in the https://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/1-thai-visas-residency-and-work-permits/ group for better answers, but don't think you have anything to worry about regarding an already existing extension based on marriage, as long as you remain married.

If it's an actual visa (i.e., something you got from an embassy outside Thailand), nothing to worry about even if divorced.

It’s an extension based on marriage. What would she need to cancel it? Please can a moderator move to right place. Thansk

A call to immigration stating it is no longer 'real and defacto' would do it.

(As that's the condition under the extension being granted)

If you are staying in Thailand long term.  See about changing to a regular retirement extension next time, if you have the funds required for it.

That could be a possibility if he is 50 years old or over. Not everybody is old enough to do it.

As advised, Immigration won't take action on the basis of what you wife says. People are always calling, but often change their minds. Immigration don't want to get involved in domestic disputes/argument.

If asked, you may argue that you are hoping for a reconciliation and the marriage is therefore not over. Any separation might be temporary.

Having said this, you will obviously be looking at other options for when the 12 month marriage extension finishes. Most Immigration Offices expect the wife to attend when the extension application is submitted, and follow-up visits to the place of joint residency by Immigration Police seem to be more routine these days.

Incorrect even divorced VISA is valid until expiry. A extension cancels not a VISA

OP doesn't have non 'o', has extension.

Oh I see NON O..In that case he should have got a new NON O before separation.

Current situation is you must be divorced for it to cancel. Be sure to give IMO new address

since being married is the requirement.

The "de jure and de facto" line in the police order is only needed to do the application.

Except...Immigration wants photos of living together & map to your residence. If financially possible & vintage enough, better plan for retirement extendsion next,

I’ve seem a farang wife at IO who tried to cancel his extension, she talked a lot of BS, and the officer seem to be enthusiastic and had a stern face look, I was gone before the result
