Forecasters unanimous: U.S.-China trade war bad for economy - Reuters poll

So, 70 economists predict what the world economy is going to be.  Reminds me of a Harry Truman observation -- "If you took all the economists in the world and lined them up end to end, they'd still point in all directions."  The USA lost the "trade war" with China years ago -- finally we have a president who knows how to fight back and is doing it.  President Trump is seeking only a fair deal with China in trading.  China was like P.T. Barnum dealing with a bunch of naïve suckers in trading with Trump's predecessors, and now, in Trump, China has a whole new circus to contend with and Donald J. Trump is one helluva ringmaster in a seven-ring tent.

  • Finally we have a president committed to undoing the damage of 30 years of stupid trade policy.

  • Go back and review the OP, then apply your skills at comprehension.

  • Many people think something should be done about China's trade practices, therefor Trump should have gathered support from Western Europe is stead of first alienated these countries and then started t

And how are his finances faring now? Nothing is without risk and everyone falls at some stage.

It’s how you pick yourself up that defines you, no?

??? Six bankrupscies to avoid paying creditors ( despite his obvious wealth)

so what do you think the definition of trump would be, by those negatively impacted by a business sent into bankruptcy by the don?

being as he “defined” himself at their expense, I would say their description of him might differ to yours.... as might be the case with the description provided by his next economical victims... people like y’all.

but don’t worry... he will pick himself up quite well....( ex prez... full time bg... etc) .... he will still have millions of dollars... and power...

he will be alright.

but will you... or rather, will the average American be ok?.... surly that is the question that needs answering, not wether or not trump will prosper (at who’s expense.)

That might be relevant if all the economists where pointing in different directions... but they are not.

they have been lined up and are all pointing in the same direction.

red flag warning?

no?

You ignored  my post.     I said I'd prefer to see China and the UK go face to face.    Leave the USA out of it, please.

Most people don't like seeing puppies fight wolves. Good on ya!!

Oh Oh, the trade war is gonna make the economy turn down sooner than no trade war would have.  There is one truth in the OP; this trade war is going to last a long time, probably as long as the Vietnam Conflict, a decade long trade war is possible.
