In his weekly televised address, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said public and private organizations will hold various activities including religious ceremonies to mark the second anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Rama IX of the House of Chakri, on October 13th. To demonstrate loyalty and love for the late monarch, Gen Prayut is asking the public to wear yellow, the color of His late Majesty’s day of birth. He also invited Thai people and foreigners to an exhibition at Siam Paragon shopping center, showcasing the late monarch’s contributions to the perpetuation of Thai arts and culture. Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, the exhibition will take place from October 12th to 21st. His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej passed away on October 13th, 2016.
