I currently have a dependency visa for my daughter in education here.

I have sole custody of her.

It expires on the 2nd November.

When I took this out last year I was not working I am now.

I have a work permit now.

Do I now change my visa for a work visa?

Do I have to deposit money into the bank or not?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Not sure what you have at this time. Do you a visa issued by an embassy or consulate or a extension of stay issued at immigration?

What do you mean by dependency. There is no such visa or extension.

Are you actually on an extension of stay based upon being the parent of your foreign child attending school?

Or is you child Thai?

it is an O visa dependency

the requirement was I had sole custody of my daughter which is on the divorce papers and 400,000 had to show marriage and divorce papers

You apparently have an extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon being the parent of a Thai.

You can have a work permit and work with your extension of stay. If your income from working is 40k baht or more you can apply for your extension using your income from working. You will need tax payment receipts to prove your income.

Thank you I have my tax paper now so looks like i need to make a tax payment now so I can get my work visa?

You do not need to go out for a non-b visa from an embassy for consulate to keep doing the extensions of stay at immigration you have now. You just use your income from working to prove 40k baht income.

You employer should be deducting your taxes now and they would be the ones to give you proof that have been doing it.

Same required documents you needed for your the extension you have now. Plus proof of your income instead of the bank balance.

You will also need a copy of your work permit to prove you are working legally. They may also want some info from your employer such as company registration.

I just spoke with my employer they do not pay the tax i do at the end of year they pay the national insurance .

Because my wages change from month to month I sell houses.

You have been very helpful I am going to go to immigration early so if I need something else I have time to go back to them.

Thank you
