Data Projector And Speakers

Featured Replies

I am looking for a data projector and a pair of good speakers... I live in Koh Phangan and am hoping to find these nearby or order-able online. eBay has a few projectors for around $250, anyone think I can get one cheaper here? Tips on where?

What do you want to use it with?

TV or Computer.

If it is with you computer make sure the projector matches the resolution of your

existing screen, otherwise your desk top will get all screwed up everytime you use it.

2nd hand projectors are often only 600 x 800 which is adequate for TV.

thanks... i want to use it with both actually... is that possible? my boyfriend is opening a little yard bar and we thought we'd project movies (from dvd or UBC) at night.... ideas? the ones i am finding with bright enough lenses are so expensive!

Don't need a bright one for night time, you can also get a screen with a higher gain which would make it appear brighter.

I wouldn't buy a second hand one, new bulbs can cost almost 1/2 as much as buying a new projector. New Projectors can be had for 30,000 Baht.

thanks, any advice on where i can get it? i need it shipped to koh phangan....

p.s. what does "a screen with higher gain" mean?

...........we thought we'd project movies (from dvd or UBC) at night....

That is illegal.

Watch out for the Copyright police.

ha- as if every 3rd bar in Thailand doesn't broadcast UBC publicly. but it is a good point.
