Leicester City football club owner's helicopter crashes outside stadium

Clearly no need to when there are armchair experts like you who can conclude the cause of the crash without even witnessing it or examining the crash site.  Perhaps you should contact the AAIB to advise them that TVF has the full spectrum of armchair experts and that the next few months of close examination by the AAIB, to determine the actual cause of the accident, may not be needed [emoji23]

Why so much secrecy about who was on the board?

So why do you need to know ?  Presume, as it was a fireball the occupants would be fried and a bit hard to identify, and then relatives have to be notified first, when they are sure.

A passenger count confirmation is not the same as an identity/casualty list. It's an odd report.

Nope.

In that case then your reply was nonsensical but perhaps you are armchair expert pals whom praise each on your perceived expert knowledge  ????   But again I will say show some respect for the deceased which is far more important at this time then you two attempting to convince others on this forum of your knowledge in these matters.

It's not odd at all, it's completely normal in the circumstances.

Whatever, confirming 1 person seems very odd. Surely they know the number of people aboard. No mention of a pilot. All very normal yh.

Very simple really.

Below a certain height/airspeed combination there's no safe way to contact the ground.

A similar instance in a fixed wing aircraft would be a stall/spin below minimum recovery height.

One doesn't have to be an "expert".

Just an ordinary, everyday......"skydriver" (pilot).

It's as simple as safe stopping distance in a car.

As a fixed wing pilot (PPL) I can assure you that a stall is about speed, not height!

Enough of this conspiracy nonsense ! In the UK it is standard practice to withold the names of victims until the next of kin have been informed.

If the accident had involved a coach load of ordinary working class supporters there would also be no names released immediately .

Well did anybody survive the accident? I think the reporting is weird...they could just mention about victims being brought to a hospital or something like that. Why is it all so secret?
