rooster59
Livestock Development chief vows to end rabies spread by next year By The Nation Livestock Development Department director general Sorawit Thanito on Saturday vowed to end the spread of rabies in Thailand by next year. Sorawit said the department would train volunteers to give free rabies shots to all dogs and cats across the country. Sorawit said the volunteers would be trained by veterinarians and will receive certificates and be officially assigned by law to be rabies vaccine givers in accordance with the Rabies Control Act of 1992. Sorawit said the volunteers would launch a national campaign to give the shots from March to May across the country. The department would cooperate with local administrations around the country to survey the number of domestic and stray dogs and cats and it would provide rabies vaccines to cover at least 80 per cent of the surveyed animals, Sorawit added. Popular Post HappyAndRich
I wish Mr. Sorawit all the luck in the world. He will surely need it, with a statement like that. 7 1
Popular Post mikebell
Start injecting outside all 7-11 shops; move onto soi dog packs menacing/causing accidents; then infiltrate moobaans where 'pet' dogs are allowed to roam free. Put something stronger than rabies vaccine in the syringes. 8
Popular Post simoh1490
How will they know if a stray has been vaccinated or not, I can imagine friendly strays being vaccinated twenty-six times and unfriendly strays not vaccinated at all. 1 1

I can imagine that also! Given a choice of chasing stray dogs through the jungle in 35 degree heat, catching them, risking being bitten whilst giving them a shot and them not being too grateful afterwards, or, sitting in Wowee Coffee and sipping latte that's covered with chocolate sprinkles, my advice is to buy shares in Wowee Coffee today. You heard it here first. Edited October 28, 2018 by simoh1490 1
Popular Post neeray
"Show Me, Don't Tell Me" is a popular saying in the American state of Missouri, often seen on licence plates. So I say to Mr. Sorawit Thanito, "show me, don't tell me". Best of luck with your ambitious project.

They used to have this program in villages, but the jettisoned it because it 'cost too much money to fund', in other words, money was better spent elsewhere where the village puuyai could benefit. Then - "Surprise!" you have a rabies problem. ???? Go figure?

digger70
What a dreamer he is . Rabies shots ain't going to stop spreading the Virus how they are going to to get Avery mutt and cat vaccinated. They better spent their money and time to cull all the soi dogs and cats than they can say that that lot won't infect anyone.
