Head out for the 331 (going past Maprachan Lake).

Follow the 331 until you come to the Sa Keaw turn - this is right at a set of lights and is the road that the border run minibuses take to Aranyapatet.

At Wattana Nakhon (just after TESCO Lotus) filter left at the lights towards Buriram.... it is sign posted in from here.

About 28 km out from Wattana Nakhon turn left (straight also leads to the border). You will take 2 left turns at crossroads (ignore the first minor one after c. 5 km) and the go over the mountain past the army checkpoint into Buriram province.

Follow the road to Non Din Deng and after you pass a PTT gas station on your left turn left at the lights heading towards Packham. I am not too familiar with that route but it will take you to Nang Rong where you pick up the 219 into Buriram.

Coming from route #348 to Nang Rong and then a short distance on #24 and then left onto #218 towards Buriram?

Not quite sure but your description seems to fit this?:

Yes, apologies 218 road (219 was the old road from Prakhonchai to Buriram)

From Pattaya I head to Nong Prue , past Rugby School and to Khao Mai Kaeo and turn left onto 331 towards Bowin and then to Khao Hin Son where 331 becomes 304 and turnoff to right is 359 going towards Sakeo which you will past to your left and Khao Chakan on the right and soon after road becomes 33 heading to Wattana Nahkon, just past Wattana will be a sign to turn right to Buriram.Never been on that road as I go straight ahead to Aranyaprathet.
