BANGKOK, 7 November 2018 (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security are working to ensure the safety of municipal parks and rehabilitate the homeless.

Officials from the BMA’s City Law Enforcement Department and the Ministry’s Department of Social Development and Welfare (DSDW) took part in a workshop on managing parks and the homeless.

DSDW Director-General Napa Setthakorn said the collaboration will enhance the efficiency of parks management to ensure that it they are safe and appealing environments for the public and to help in assisting the homeless.

The program will assist homeless people through occupational training. The mentally unstable will be sent back to their families and foreigners will be deported to their home country.
